The company has almost 20 years of custom plastic Injection Moulding experience being expert in thin wall plastic packaging. They manufacture thermoformed products such asdisposable cups, spoons, food trays and containers to Food, Telecom, Automobile and Industrial Packaging.
For any company, energy should directly relate to production. Knowing this, we can calculate Specific Energy Consumption (SEC), which is energy consumption per unit of production.
In 2015, we set out to work with Arun Plasto by monitoring their energy consumption for the production of disposable paper cups. We recorded what's the number of output and energy consumption per hour. These details were previously documented manually.
During this process, it was found that the specific energy was significantly high everyday at 5 o'clock in the evening. It was because that the machine kept running without being attended to as the workers leaving the shift were busy getting ready for home. Necessary measures were taken to avoid such reckless spending of energy.
